This is exactly one of the reasons that I am TERRIFIED of going to the dentist.

I'm thankful for congressmen like Rep. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI), who provide unending humor in the most awkward of times. On Wednesday night, a couple of photogs caught him as he was exiting a bathroom in the Capitol building. He quickly looked over his shoulder and quipped, "Come on out, Larry, it's all over."

hockey withdrawals

One of the things I miss the most about Washington, D.C. is hockey. No, the Washington Capitals aren't the end-all-be-all of hockey, but they are getting better and better with time. And this year, especially closing in on the playoffs, they are making no exception. Plus, they are MY team… I root them on, no matter what.

In last night's game, Ovechkin closed in on his aim of 60 goals this season to make a new NHL record, taking 52 goals so far this season, and a hat trick in the first period, alone. The Caps took out the Bruins 10-2, at home at the Verizon Center.

It is a game that I would've loved to see in person. Thank God that Versus picks up the Caps usually… and probably only because of Alex Ovechkin. No matter… I'll take what I can get. Hockey in Alabama is limited to the television.

just a quick question

Can't we all just get along?

Or more fittingly, can't the U.S. just stay out of everyone's business, and take care of our people? Why did we just randomly decide to bomb a terrorist target in Somalia? People, random targeting is NOT helping our cause.

I'm seriously ready for the funds we drop into the military to go to feed the hungry and impoverished people of America and Africa.

This pre-eminent strike crap is just gonna get us in trouble. We are NOT the world's police, nor should we ever be considered as such. I have a theory that those in leadership today never really read their history or government and economics books in high school or college. Instead, they believe they should write their own history. Unobjective history is the worst kind, I promise.

While I don't have a spouse or kids, this rings true for all Post Secret fans out there. Visit if you dare… but you'll be hooked. I am. I wait for it EVERY Sunday. It's a guilty pleasure for sure.
