a day to remember

so, i had a bunch of great pictures to post from today's venture around the wonderful world of washington.

but, the wireless connection here hates me and won't stay up long enough to upload that photos. ehhh… hopefully something will work out at some point. i had a funny story to tell with them, but without the photos, it's not funny.

i do have this one… i'm not sure how it got through, but whatever…

one really cool piece from today though. while we were walking around the capitol today, we walked up to go see the united methodist building (insert pic here if the upload would work), and we passed the supreme court. there were news camera crews EVERYWHERE. i was so confused… i knew they had already closed session. katie's husband david called us just a little later to tell us that o'connor had retired today from the supreme court. i was freakin' right there when it happened!!! insane, right? so, basically, the beginnings of my long depression started today…

dear lord, i heard on all things considered of some of the people being considered to fill the shoes. i swear i'll cry… no, worse. but i don't know how much worse. oi vey…

tonight i saw mama mia at the national theatre. it was absolutely FANTASTIC! ok… i'm going to see if i can get the pics to upload. here's hoping…

plus, i need to go to sleep. it's almost 1 a.m. here, and we're getting up at 5 to go to ocean city to hit up the beach tomorrow… woohoo!
